Here are four animal art projects that will be perfect for your kid:
1. Muddy Pigs:
You Will Need:
- Some pink paper
- Some shaving cream
- Brown paint
- A paint brush
- Pencil
- A pair of safety scissors
- A plastic cup to mix the colors
How To:
- Draw the outline of a pig on the pink paper and cut it out. You can either allow him to cut it under your supervision or do it yourself.
- Hand a plastic cup to him and add a bit of shaving cream in it. Let him add some drops of the brown paint in it. Let him mix up the paint and the brown color using the paint brush.
- Now ask your kid to paint the pink pig with ‘mud’ to create a muddy pig.
2. Fun Popcorn Sheep:
You Will Need:
- Ready to make popcorn packets
- White paper
- Pencil
- A pair of safety scissors
- Glue
How To:
- Pop the popcorn pack in the microwave and make them as per the instructions on the pack.
- In the meanwhile, draw the outline of a sheep on the white paper using the pencil. Help your kid cut out the sheep outline using the pair of safety scissors while under your supervision. Alternatively, you can cut out the sheep around the outline.
- Once done the popcorn too should be ready. Keep it aside and let it cool. Once it is cool, let him glue it on to the sheep cutout.
3. Fun Colorful Thumb Print Animals:
You Will Need:
- Paints in different colors
- A pack of wipes to clean the fingers after each paint
- A large construction paper
- Marker pens
- A paper plate to take out the colors
How To:
- Open up the construction paper and place it in front of your kid.
- Place the different paints onto the paper plate.
- Help your kid dip his thumb in one can of paint one at a time and then press it on the construction paper.
- Use black for a cow, pink for pig, yellow for the chick, and brown for dog and so on.
- Make sure your clean up your kid’s thumbs after each dip in the paint.
- Once the paints on the construction paper are dry, use the marker to create fun additions to the prints like legs, horns, eyes, beak, etc.
4. Paper Plate Piglet:
You Will Need:
- A paper plate in white
- Pink construction paper
- Crayons and marker pens
- Glue
- Pink paint
- A pair of safety scissors
How To:
- Let him paint the paper plate in pink. Set it aside to dry.
- In the meanwhile, draw out two ears, a nose, two eyes and mouth on the construction paper. You can also help him do the same.
- Once done, cut it or help your little one cut it out using the pair of safety scissors.
- Once the paper plate is dry, help him glue on the facial features one by one to create a cute piglet.
