10 Delicious Quiche For Toddlers

Quiche is an ideal finger food for the babies and toddlers. Packed with tiny pieces of meat, vegetables, and grated cheese, quiche takes less than 30 minutes to prepare. All you do is toss all the ingredients in a food processor or bowl and pour it into molds. Read on and find out about some simple mini quiche for toddlers.

1. Spinach And Sweet Potato Quiche:

You Will Need:

  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 medium sized sweet potato, peeled and grated
  • 10 oz. of organic spinach
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • ¾ cup of ricotta cheese
  • ¼ cup of grated Parmesan cheese

How To:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375° C.
  1. Add some butter and grated sweet potato to a skillet and sauté it for 5-7 minutes.
  1. Add the spinach and sauté for another 3 minutes.
  1. Transfer the sweet potato mixture to a medium sized bowl and leave it aside to cool.
  1. Then add ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, and eggs.
  1. Fill the muffin cases with the mixture and mix for 15 minutes or until golden in color.

2. Carrot And Potato Quiche:

You Will Need:

  • 2 sheets of frozen puff pastry
  • 4 eggs
  • ¼ cup of milk
  • ½ cup of mashed potato
  • ½ cup of pureed carrot
  • 1 cup of grated cheese

How To:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180° C.
  1. Defrost the pastry sheets for 10 minutes.
  1. Use a scone cutter to cut a circle from the pastry sheet.
  1. Push the pastry circles into the muffin pans and divide the cheese between the muffin cases.
  1. Meanwhile, whisk eggs and milk in a jug.
  1. Now whisk in the mashed vegetables.
  1. Pour the egg mixture into the pastry cases followed by the mashed vegetables.
  1. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden in color.

3. Zucchini And Cottage Cheese Quiche:

You Will Need:

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup of shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 zucchini, grated
  • ½ cup of spinach
  • ¼ cup of cottage cheese
  • ¼ cup of whole milk

How To:

  1. Preheat the oven to 325° C.
  1. Place all the ingredients in a food processor and process until combined.
  1. Grease the muffin tins with butter.
  1. Pour the mixture into the muffin tin ¾ way to the top.
  1. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown in color.

4. Quick Quiche:

You Will Need:

  • Ready-rolled short crust pastry
  • Flour for rolling
  • 15 grams of unsalted butter, chilled and diced
  • 4 spring onions, chopped
  • 1 zucchini, chopped
  • 50 grams of grated cheese
  • 200 ml of full-fat milk
  • 2 large eggs

How To:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180° C.
  1. Coat the muffin tins with flour.
  1. Proceed to roll the short-crust pastry on a floured surface, until it is 2.5mm thick.
  1. Cut out the circles of pastry and line the muffin tin with them.
  1. In a frying pan, heat butter and cook the spring onion.
  1. Add zucchini and cook for 2 minutes.
  1. Spoon the mixture into the pastry cases and sprinkle with cheese.
  1. For the filling, whisk milk and eggs and season with salt and pepper.
  1. Pour the filling into the cases.
  1. Bake for 20 minutes until it is golden and puffy.

5. Tuna And Sweet Corn Quiche:

You Will Need:

  • 375 grams of ready-rolled shortcrust pastry
  • 1 egg
  • 75ml of milk
  • 80 grams of canned tuna
  • 4 teaspoons of sweet corn
  • Parmesan cheese, finely grated

How To:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180° C and grease the tart tins.
  1. Unroll the short crust pastry and roll until 2.5 mm thick.
  1. Cut out circles and press into the tart tin holes.
  1. Line the muffin tins with pastries.
  1. In a bowl, combine the drained flakes of tuna with sweetcorn.
  1. Whisk eggs and milk lightly.
  1. Transfer the mixture to the tart tin cases and cover with the egg and milk mixture.
  1. Top it with grated Parmesan cheese.
  1. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until the pastry is golden in color.
