Diy Refreshing Cucumber Eye Mask Tutorial:
Dark and puffy eyes not only make you look dull, but also age you prematurely. So, today I have a moisture surge refreshing cucumber eye mask, which is 100% herbal and full of antioxidants—the perfect way to pamper your eyes back to their beautiful self!
Step 1:
Take a half a tablespoon of green tea and start boiling it with plain water. Allow it to boil for 1 to 1 and half minute, and then turn off the stove. Green tea is loaded with antioxidants and plenty of tannin’s, which help in soothing and refreshing the dull and tired under eye area. The green tea works in reducing the swelling and also draining the fluids from around the eyes.
Step 2:
Dice a cucumber into smaller pieces. You can peel the cucumber if you would like to have a pure puree. But as the peel has a lot of antioxidants, it is best to grind the cucumber with the peel. Make a fine paste and then transfer it into a bowl.
Step 3:
Then strain the green tea water to the cucumber paste and blend it with a spoon.
Step 4:
Take rectangular or round cotton pads. If they are slightly bigger than your eye area, you can cut them according to your need. Always use slightly layered or thick cotton pads as it will hold the paste and the juice more, so giving better benefits.

Step 5:
Drop the cotton pads in the paste for several minutes to soak the juice. Leave them aside for at least 1 minute.
Step 6:
Then, take the cotton pad from the paste and transfer it into a zip lock cover for storage. You can easily make 10, 20, or 30 soaked cucumber and green tea pads at a time and store them in the refrigerator to use it later. Usage of these eye pads is simple. Take 2 of them from the refrigerator and thaw them for 10 minutes till it becomes soft. Then, place it over your eye and relax for 10 to 15 minutes. You will find the eye mask refreshing and soothing to your eyes, especially in summers. The eye mask is cooling, hydrating, soothing and refreshing. It reduces dark circles and puffiness of the eyes. It can be used every day as it is free from chemicals.
These cucumbers and green tea eye pads are more effective than just placing two chilled cucumber slices. This is because the cotton pads cling and fit the contours of the eyes much better and help in promoting maximum absorption. Secondly, the cucumber and green tea found in this eye pad is in concentrated form and work better than just placing the cucumber slices.
