A first date is one of the most exciting experiences you can have, but it can also be equally nerve-wracking, especially if you aren’t sure how to make a seamless conversation with the other person.

Having a bank of a few first date questions to fall back on when there’s a lull in the conversation can make a date much more interesting. It’s a way to make sure you don’t run out of things to talk about while getting to know each other on a meaningful level.

Asking the right questions shows that you’re curious about your date’s life and want to understand them better. Not sure where to begin? Here are some first date questions that will help you keep the conversation flowing like wine.

Best first date questions

Here is a list of the 60 best first date questions that you can ask. It is important to start on a happy note so that the conversation takes positive turns.

  1. Tell me about something that you did and are extremely proud of.
  1. How would you like to spend your coming weekend?
  1. Name one exciting and one dull thing about your everyday routine?
  1. What is that one hobby you want to take up if money is not a problem?
  1. Name a silly or strange talent you have.
