So you are planning a party for a group of teenage girls. And, you’ve probably decided the venue, theme, and the menu, but have you thought about any games? Or are you still scouring the internet for some ideas?
There is a fine line between organizing games for teens and embarrassing them. Unfortunately, most mommies don’t understand the scope of the line.
While planning a game or activity for teens, you have to think like a teen. Yes, the games should be fun and exciting, but with a hint of sophistication. Keeping this in mind, we have compiled a list of 25 games for teenage girls that they will love playing with her pals.
1. Bang:
You Will Need:
- Nothing
How To:
- Select a teen to sit in the middle of the circle.
- The other girls now have to point their fingers in the shape of the guns at random players and go ‘BANG’.
- When the other player points the ‘gun’ at them, they have to duck. The slower player will be out of the game. If the person is taking too long to duck, then she will be out instead. It will continue until only two players are left.
- Where they are just two players left, you can have either a bang off or a bang on.
- In bang off, the two girls have to stand with their back towards each other and walk in the opposite direction, and the player standing in the center counts up to twenty.
- At the call of twenty, the player who spins around and shoots will be the winner.
- In bang on, instead of counting, the person standing in the middle has to call out the name of an object or an action. For example- ‘a belly dancing octopus’ or ‘ onion’. The girls have to perform the action or object, and the one who does it the best way will be the winner.

2. Ninja Destruction:
You Will Need:
- Nothing
How To:
- Tell the girls to stand in a circle. Now they have to put both their hands together, bow down and call out “Ninja Destruction.”
- The girls have to make a smooth movement and try to hit the hand of another player to get them out.
- The player at whom they are directing their aim can make one movement in retreat.
- The players can jump out of the circle, but have to maintain their turn in order of the original setting.
- Bollywood destruction and Harry Potter Destruction are other variations of this game. In Bollywood destruction, the move should be of a Bollywood dance and in Harry Potter destruction, a Harry Potter spell has to be called out at each turn. This is an ideal and fun games for teen girls.
3. Clap:
You Will Need:
- Nothing
How To:
- This game has to be played as quickly as possible to make it fun.
- Tell the girls to stand up or sit in a circle and select one girl to start the game.
- The player now has to clap her hands, either up, down, left or right. If she claps left, the player to her left has to do the next clap. If she claps right, the player to her right has to do the next and so on
- The players who do not keep up with the clap will be out of the game.
- Continue the game until just one player is left.

4. Zombies:
You Will Need:
- Nothing
How To:
- This game is best played in a small area. Select one girl to be the ‘zombie’. The ‘zombie’ has to hold out her arms just like a ‘zombie’ and walk towards the other players.
- The player who is being targeted has to call out the name of another player, and the zombie will now have to walk towards her.
- The round will end if the zombie manages to catch a player.
- If the zombie gets tired, then she can give up the game. The zombie will put her hands down, and the other players have to run towards her to touch her. The last player to run towards the zombie will be the next ‘zombie’.
5. Winks:
You Will Need:
- Chairs
How To:
- The game ‘Winks’ is best played with large groups of girls. Divide the players into equal numbers. One set of girls will sit down, and the other set will stand up.
- Set up chairs and have the girls take the seat, leaving one seat empty. The remaining girls have to stand behind the girls who are sitting. There should be one girl behind each chair, including the empty chair.
- The girl standing behind the empty chair has to wink at the seated player. The girl has to jump up to take the empty spot.
- If the girl behind her tags or touches on her shoulder before she moves away, then she has to remain seated. If she is out of the chair, then you have to select a new winker. Winks is a great fun games for teenage girls to play during the leisure time.
6. Balloon Dare:
You Will Need:
- Paper slips
- Pen
- Balloon
How To:
- Write the dares for every player in the group and slip into the balloon before blowing it up and tying the knot. When preparing for the dare, ask your teen what dares would be fun and appropriate. You also need to agree on the consequences that are safe and suitable for the home.
- Now assemble the girls in a room and, one by one, ask them to pop the balloon to find the dare. The player has to do the dare or face the consequences.
- Note:
- Do not make the ‘dares’ embarrassing. Think of something more challenging like completing a physical task.

How To:
- When the girls arrive, give each of them a pen and card to write down three facts about themselves. Two should be true, and one should be a lie.
- When all the girls have filled the card, make them sit in a circle.
- Now select one girl to start the game. She has to read out her card aloud to everyone else in the room. The other girls have to figure out the false one.
- The player who guesses the most ‘lies’ will be the winner.

8. Name The Song:
You Will Need:
- A selection of DVD’s
- Music player
How To:
- Get hold of a selection of DVS and record a small snippet from the middle of each song. Alternatively, you can even record the beginning or end of the song.
- When the teens have arranged themselves in a circle, play the music for a few seconds.
- The teen who gives out the most number of correct answers will be the winner. Name the song is an interesting games for teens girls.
9. Spin The Nail Polish Bottle:
You Will Need:
- Nail polish in different colors
- Soft drink bottle
How To:
- Have the girls sit in a circle and place the bottles of nail polish inside it.
- Select one girl to spin the soft drink bottle in the circle. Now the girl has to paint one of her fingernails with whichever nail polish the bottle point at.
- Each girl has to take turns at spinning the bottle. The game will continue until all the nails are painted with nail paint. It is one of the amazing cool games for teen girls to play.
10. T-shirt Keepsake:
You Will Need:
- Tubes of fabric paint
- White T-shirt
How To:
- Give each teen a plain, white T-shirt and ask them to write messages for each friend in the group. A pillowcase or a cushion cover will also work.
- Now assemble the girls in a room and read out the messages for each of them.
- The girls have to guess who must have written the message for them.
- The player who gives the most number of correct guesses will be the winner.

11. The Killer:
You Will Need:

- Tell all the girls to close their eyes and select one girl as the ‘killer’ by tapping on her shoulders. The other girls will be the detectives. The players can now open the eyes.
- The ‘killer’ now has to start killing the detectives by winking at them one by one. The person at whom the ‘killer’ winks has to die dramatically to let others know that she has been ‘killed.’
- If any detective spots the killer, then she has to shout out the name. If her guess is correct, then she will win the round. But if she is wrong, then even she has to die.
- If the ‘killer’ manages to slay all the detectives without being found, then he will win the round. It is amazing yet interesting games for teenage girls to play during free time.
12. Baby, Do You Love Me?
You Will Need:
- Nothing
How To:
- Make the girls sit in a circle and select one to be the ‘it’. The ‘it’ has to pick someone from the circle, sit on her lap and say, “Baby, do you love me? If yes, then please smile’.
- The other participant has to respond by saying, “I love you, but sorry, I cannot smile.’ But if the player smiles while saying the line, then she will become the next ‘it.’
- If the player does not smile, then the ‘it’ has to select another girl to sit on the lap and try again.
13. Encore:
You Will Need:
- Cards
- Pen
How To:
- Prepare cards with words that are common in songs like ‘hand’, ‘rain’, and ‘heart’ and so on.
- Now divide the teens into two teams. Shuffle the cards and ask one member from each team to come and pick the card.
- The teammate has to sing a song that has the same word somewhere in the lyrics. If the player cannot come up with a song within 30 seconds, then she will lose the round and the other team will get the point.
- The first team to get 10 points will be the winner. Encore is a wonderful game for teenage girls to enjoy during free time.
14. The Girls Knot:
You Will Need:
- Nothing
How To:
- Arrange the girls in a large circle. As you say ‘go’ the players have to join hands with another person across the circle.
- The objective of the game is to work together to entangle everyone and become a large circle. The hands of the girls should be joined by the other players all the time. It may require a bit of help and coordination. Players may even need to do a bit of climbing.
- If the girls are unable to untangle themselves after 10 or 15 minutes, then unlink one player and rejoin the hands with someone else’s.
- The group can consult and decide whom they want to unlink. It can be one of the best games for teenage girls to play when they are in group.

15. Team Spoons:
You Will Need:
- A deck of cards
How To:
- Divide the girls into pairs. Each pair has to move aside from other pairs and decide the secret signals. Once the pairs have decided, they can come back together.
- Now make the players sit in a circle, sitting directly across from their partners. Give four cards to each player and put the remaining cards in a pile. Now tell the teens to look out for the cards.
- Now begin the game by asking one player to pick up one card from the pile. She can either pass the card or keep it with her. If she decides to keep the card, then she has to exchange it for the card that is already in her hand. Pass the discarded card to next person.
- Just like the first player, the second person can either keep or give the card. It will continue until one player gets four same cards and calls out ‘Bust’ or ‘Spoons.’
- Each round will earn the players a point. The first team that reaches ten points will be the winner.
16. The Mummy:
You Will Need:
- Toilet paper rolls
How To:
- Divide the girls into teams of two or three. Give each player a toilet paper roll. Select one player from the team to be the mummy.
- As you call out ‘go,’ the teammates have to wrap their ‘mummy’ using the toilet paper rolls. To make the game harder, tell the girls that the roll should not break. The team that breaks the roll will be out of the game.
- The team that manages to create the most creative mummy in the shortest time will be the winner.
17. Twenty Questions:
You Will Need:
- Nothing
How To:
- Select one girl to play the ‘it’ and give her the name of the celebrity. She has to think of the name of the film, song or sitcom of the same celebrity.
- The players combined can ask up to 20 ‘yes’ or ‘no’ question to figure out what the girl is thinking of. For hints, you can give the kids the initials of the celebrity. Even the ‘it’ has to clarify whether she is thinking about a movie, a song or a sitcom.
- The round will continue until the ‘It’ has answered up to 20 questions with a ‘yes’ or ‘no.’
- After every player has got the turn to be ‘it’, the player who guesses the most number of correct answers will be the winner.
18. Who Am I?
You Will Need:
- Maker
- Party hat
How To:
- Write the names of famous people on the inside of the party hats. Create as many hats as there are girls.
- Place the hat on the girls’ head, ensuring that other players do not see the name written on it.
- Now the girls have to mingle and ask questions to find out who they are. The questions can be answered only in ‘yes’ or ‘no.’
- The teen who gives the most number of correct guesses will be the picture.
19. M&M Hunt:
You Will Need:
- M&M’s
- Plastic Baggies
- Clues in Envelopes
- Paper
- Pen
How To:
- Before playing the game, you have to create some clues that will tell the location of the bags containing M&M. The clues can be difficult or easy, depending on the age of the teens. You have to make sure that each team visits all the hidden M&M location but in a different order. So make copies of the same clues and put them in the envelope. Hide the bags of M&M too. If you want, you can even assign a point to each team. But do not tell the point values to the girls.
- Divide the girls into teams and give them their clue envelopes and a plastic bag for collecting the candies. Instruct them that they have to take just three M&Ms from each spot.
- The team that has the most points will be the winner.

20. Fast Charade:
You Will Need:
- Slips of paper
- Pencil
- Timer
How To:
- Tell each player to write down the name of the film on a piece of paper.
- Now divide the girls into two teams.
- One player from the team has to draw out a piece of paper and act it out. The teammates have to guess what he is trying to enact. The other team has to follow the same. The players have to use up all the slips of paper.
- The catch is that the team that uses the least amount of time will be the winner.
Variation:
- Instead of acting out of the movie, kids can even draw the word, just like Pictionary.
21. Freeze:
You Will Need:
- Nothing
How To:
- Select two girls to start the game. These two girls have to get on the ‘stage’, or any raised platform, and the other girls have to call out a situation like being a baby, or acting as husband or wife. The two players now have to improvise the scene without wasting much time.
- When any one girl from the audience says ‘freeze’, both the performers have to freeze in the place.
- Now the one who yelled out ‘freeze’ has to tap on the shoulder of one of the performers, replace her and begin a new scene, based on the situation.
- The game will go on until every girl gets a chance to be on the stage.
22. The Chocolate Game:
You Will Need:
- Tray
- A pair of gloves
- Fork
- Knife
- A bar of chocolate
- Dice
- Hat
How To:
- Have the teens sit around the tray of items and dice.
- The girls have to take turns at rolling the dice. The player who gets a six has to put on the hat, gloves and scarf. She has to cut the chocolate to the agreed size and eat it.
- Then continue rolling the dice until the other girl gets a six and repeat the method.
- The kid who performs the task fastest will be the winner.
23. I Never:
You Will Need:
- Candies
How To:
- Tell the girls to sit in a circle and place a pile of 20 candies in the circle. Select one kid to start the game. The girl has to go around the saying a thing that she has never done. For example- “I have never been to America”.
- After every statement, the girl who had done the thing has to eat a piece of candy and explain her answer.
- Whoever eats the most number of candies will be the winner.
24. Treasure Hunt:
You Will Need:
- 20 to 30 items like a pen, a box of tissues, a bar of soap, and so on.
- Paper and pen
How To:
- Divide the girls into 2 to 3 teams.
- Make a list of all the items and give a copy of the list to each team along with a grocery bag.
- Set the time limit and send the girls to collect the items on the list from the neighborhood.
- The team that gets the items first will be the winner.
25. Off Limits:
You Will Need:
- Mardi Gras beads for each player
How To:
- Decide the forbidden word by discussing with your child. It should be an everyday word like ‘cute’.
- Give each player a necklace to wear and tell them the word that is forbidden.
- When a girl says the forbidden word, she has to give up the necklace to whoever catches her saying the word.
- The girl with the most necklaces will win the game.
