A Loving Message From A Husband To His Pregnant Wife

So, my husband decided to write this very personal letter to me when I was 3 months pregnant. And now when I am in my 8th month, the realization hit me how much a simple letter has helped me strive through my pregnancy with confidence. I feel every husband who loves and cares for his pregnant wife should write a letter and pour his heart out. Believe me, there is no better gift than a letter from your beloved husband. So, here goes…

To my beautiful pregnant wife,

It’s been an incredible 4 years since the day I first laid my eyes on you. I remember staring at you wondering how someone could look so beautiful and perfect. And looking at you now carrying our child in your belly, I can’t believe you decided to spend my life with me. You have made me the luckiest man ever. Your pregnancy is the best gift I have ever received in my life. I still remember vividly the day you took the pregnancy test. Even when you were nervous, I was excited to begin this new journey with you. And I always knew you would make an amazing mom. You are a strong, compassionate, kind, and the most organized woman I know. I know I taunt you at times for how overly worked up you get when you find the house a bit messy (mostly my fault), but you are amazing at everything that you do. Whether it is pushing me to do better, inspiring and encouraging me when I am feeling low, or simply being there for me without even saying a single word, you have always been there to support me every step of the way. And I hope I can do the same for you on this beautiful journey we are about to embark on.

You help me to be the best version of myself. Frankly, I never thought I would end up with someone like you. Don’t get me wrong, I believe I could land a wonderful woman. But I never thought our marriage would be this good. Not only have I found my wife, but I have found my best friend in you. Yes, I know it is a bit cliched, but you are the best thing to ever happen to me. It’s impossible to have a dull moment with you because being married has always felt like an adventure. You always manage to bring a sense of humor and wonder in my life that I wouldn’t have otherwise. I don’t want you to ever forget how much I love and appreciate having you in my life.

I know you’ve had your doubts about having a baby and running a family. But just know that I will be there beside you every step of the way. You are never going to feel alone or lost because I will make sure to always BE THERE for you and our baby! Just concentrate on yourself and don’t worry about anything else because we will figure everything out like we always do. Whether it is setting up the crib, painting the walls of the baby room or organizing the diaper bag, leave it all to me. And even when the baby is born, I am going to help in all the ways that I can. I know I am never going to be able to do half as much as you in bringing the baby into this world, but I will do a hell of a job in raising our baby. And even if you have the slightest doubt about it, just ask me, I am right beside you. I don’t want you to ever have any doubts or concerns in your mind – whether it is about motherhood, baby or life. Remember, we are in this together.

Thank you for always being there for me in this journey of life. Thank you for embracing pregnancy and accepting all the changes that come with it. Thank you for sacrificing so much for our family. I know I will never be able to understand or even experience all that you go through to bring new life to this world. But I am in awe of you every single day, and seeing you take on pregnancy with so much enthusiasm and positivity has made me fall in love with you even harder. Even on those days of crazy pregnancy hormones or the occasional self-loathing, my love for you only grows. I am just so glad and thankful to be a part of it all and I promise you again that I am going to be an incredible father and an even better husband to you.

And lastly, thank you for being born.

Love, your husband.
