Delicious Easter Recipes For Kid:

1. Easter Chocolate Bar:

You Will Need:

  • 3 bars of milk chocolate
  • 2 packets of mini chocolate eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of frozen raspberry, chopped

How To:

  1. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and leave it aside.
  2. Melt the chocolate bars and pour in the baking tray.
  3. Meanwhile, put three-quarters of mini eggs in a food bag and beat with a rolling pin.
  4. Scatter the smashed mini eggs on the baking tray followed by the chopped raspberries.
  5. Leave it to set in the refrigerator and then cut into small bars.

2. Chocolate Nest:

You Will Need:

  • 150 grams of unsalted butter
  • 50 grams of golden syrup
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 400 grams of dark chocolate, chopped
  • 120 grams of milk chocolate
  • 150 grams of pretzel sticks, broken into pieces
  • 100 grams of shredded wheat, crushed
  • 100 grams of chocolate-covered raisins
  • 100 grams of salted peanuts
  • Chocolate eggs, to serve

How To:

  1. In a saucepan, heat the butter and golden syrup.
  2. Then add chocolate and vanilla extract to it. Keep stirring continuously.
  3. Remove from the heat and add the pretzel sticks, chocolate covered raisins, peanuts, and shredded wheat.
  4. Transfer to a round baking tin and create a hole in the center to produce a nest shape.
  5. Chill for an hour or until set.
  6. Remove from the tin and fill the nest will an assortment of chocolate eggs.

3. Mini Chocolate Cheesecakes:

You Will Need:

  • 14 milk chocolate digestive biscuits, crushed
  • 100 grams of butter, melted
  • 500 grams of ricotta cheese
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 200 grams of dark chocolate, chopped
  • 125 grams of icing sugar

How To:

  1. Process the digestive biscuits finely in a food processor.
  2. In a bowl, combine melted butter with the biscuit crumbs.
  3. Transfer the biscuit mixture into the lined muffin tins and press to make a firm base.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, vanilla extract, eggs and melted chocolate. Beat with an electric beater.
  5. Spoon the mixture over the top of biscuit base.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes. Let the cheesecake cool completely before serving.

4. Hot Cross Cookies:

You Will Need:

  • 200 grams of softened butter
  • 100 grams of caster sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 250 grams of plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 100 grams of sultanas
  • 200 grams of white chocolate chips

How To:

  1. In a large bowl, beat butter, sugar and egg until smooth.
  2. Then add flour, cinnamon and baking bowl. Combine to make a dough.
  3. Then add 100 grams of white chocolate and sultanas.
  4. Make small balls of dough and flatten onto the baking tray.
  5. Bake for ten minutes or until golden.
  6. Melt the remaining chocolate in the microwave.
  7. Then drizzle the chocolate on top of each cookie.

5. Spiced French Toast:

You Will Need:

  • 4 tablespoons of soft butter
  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 100ml milk
  • 4 hot cross buns, halved
  • Vanilla ice cream to serve

How To:

  1. Mix 3 tablespoon of butter with half cinnamon.
  2. In another bowl, beat milk and egg with remaining cinnamon.
  3. Apply the cinnamon and butter mixture on the hot bun slices.
  4. Heat the remaining butter in a frying pan.
  5. Dip in the egg mixture and cook for 1 to 2 minutes, until each side is light golden in color.
  6. Serve with a scoop of ice cream.

6. Mustard-Stuffed Chicken:

You Will Need:

  • 125 grams of mozzarella ball, torn into pieces
  • 50 grams of grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of whole grain mustard
  • 4 boneless chicken breast fillets
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How To:

  1. Mix the cheeses and mustard together.
  2. Cut each side of the chicken fillet and stuff with the mustard mixture.
  3. Season and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.

7. Spicy Root And Lentil Casserole:

You Will Need:

  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 700 grams of potatoes, cut into chunks
  • 4 carrots, sliced
  • 2 parsnips, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of curry paste
  • 1 liter of vegetable stock
  • 100 grams red lentils
  • A sprig of coriander, roughly chopped

How To:

  1. Heat the oil and cook onion and garlic for 4 minutes.
  2. Add the potatoes, carrots and parsnip and cook for 7 minutes.
  3. Stir in the curry powder and vegetable stock and bring to boil.
  4. Add the lentils.
  5. Reduce the heat and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Stir in the coriander and heat for 3 minutes.

8. Dairy Scones:

You Will Need:

  • 450 grams of flour
  • 75 grams of margarine
  • 2 teaspoons of bicarbonate of soda
  • 5 teaspoons of cream of tartar
  • 275ml milk
  • 50 grams of caster sugar
  • A handful of dried fruit

How To:

  1. Sieve flour, sugar, soda and cream of tartar.
  2. Add the margarine and fold the mixture.
  3. Then add the milk, a little at a time.
  4. Knead for 1 to 2 minutes.
  5. Cut out shapes from the dough and place on the baking tray.
  6. Brush some milk and bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Serve with maple syrup.

9. Carrot Cake Muffins:

You Will Need:

  • 3 cups of grated carrots
  • 2 cups of brown sugar
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 cups of vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 packet of cream cheese
  • 1 cup of icing sugar
  • 1 cup of dried apricots

How To:

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar and spices.
  2. Add eggs, one at the time.
  3. Then add grated carrots and walnuts and fold well.

  5. Meanwhile, beat cream cheese until smooth. Then add the icing sugar until light and fluffy.

10. Chocolate Peanut Butter Eggs:

You Will Need:

  • 4 cups of powdered sugar
  • 1 1⁄2 cups of creamy peanut butter
  • 1⁄4 cup of butter
  • 3 tablespoons of milk
  • 3 cups of chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon of shortening

How To:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine powdered sugar, butter, and peanut butter.
  2. Add milk and knead lightly.
  3. Roll the dough into egg shapes and freeze for an hour.
  4. In a small bowl, place chocolate chips and shortening and microwave for 1 minute.
  5. Dip the eggs into the melted chocolate and refrigerate for an hour.
  6. Decorate with sprinkles and serve.
