Dr. Raymundo Canales de la Fuente graduated from UNAM and did his specialization in Gynecology and Obstetrics from the same university. In addition, he specialized in Perinatal Medicine from INPER and has been associated with Hospital Ángeles del Pedregal with experience of more than 25 years. In 2009, he actively collaborated with the Mexican Ministry of Health to develop training strategies for professional midwives. At the same time, he worked on drafting the National Strategy for the Reduction of Maternal Mortality. Dr. Raymundo currently works on the educational projects of the University of Oxford to reduce maternal mortality. Being a member of the Mexican Council of Gynecology and Obstetrics, he heads several Hospital Ethics Committees. In addition, he is the founder and president of the Bancomext Quality Group in Medical Care.
