1. Pompom Spider Craft:

You Will Need:

  • One black pompom
  • Eight orange chenille stems
  • Wiggle eyes
  • Glue

How To:

  • Place a black pompom on the table and glue four orange chenille stems on either side, representing legs of the spider.
  • Glue on the pair of wiggle eyes on the black tuft as the eyes of spider and your craft is ready.

2. Clay Spider Craft:

You Will Need:

  • Black and white clay

How To:

  • Provide your preschooler with black earth and guide her to shape the round body and eight long legs of spider out as you see in the image. Attach four legs on either side of the black body.
  • Make two small circles out of the white clay and two smaller circles out of the black earth.
  • Attach two white circles on the face of the spider and two black circles on the white ones creating the eyes of the clay spider.

You Will Need:

  • One big piece of cookie
  • Knife or cutter
  • White, black, and red cream cones

How To:

  • Provide your child a big piece of Halloween cookie and guide her to cut it out in the shape of a spider by using a knife or cutter. The form of spider should comprise a round body in the middle and four legs on either side.
  • Use the cone of black cream and fill the area of the round head of the spider with it.
  • Define eight legs of the spider by using the black cream cone.
  • Create two eyes and eyeballs on the face by using white and black cream cones.

  • Small black wool fabric
  • Eight black chenille stems or pipe cleaners
  • Scissors

How To:

  • Take a small piece of black wool and shape it with your hands such that it resembles the spider’s body.
  • Cut eight black chenille stems in equal sizes and bend them a bit in the middle.
  • Glue four chenille stems on one side of the spider’s body and four on the other.

5. Halloween Pumpkin Spider Craft:

You Will Need:

  • One large pumpkin
  • Eight long black chenille stems
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Black marker

How To:

  • Give your preschooler one big pumpkin and eight long black-colored craft pipe cleaners.
  • Help your child to cut out eight chenille stems in equal sizes.
  • Glue the eight pipe cleaners on both the sides of the pumpkin, resembling the legs of a spider.
  • You can decorate the spider pumpkin by creating its eyes, nose, and mouth with a black marker.

6. Puffed Rice Candy Spider Craft:

You Will Need:

  • Lots of puffed brown rice
  • Puffed white rice
  • Candies
  • Toothpicks
  • Mustard seeds
  • Jaggery or gur
  • A stove and utensil

How To:

  • Warm up some solid jaggery in a utensil on a stove until it turns into a sticky fluid.
  • Mix the jaggery fluid with lots of brown colored puffed rice and shape the round body of the spider by pressing and sticking the puffed grains.
  • Stick eight toothpicks on either side of the insect’s body, with four on each side, by using jaggery.
  • Create two eyes for the spider by shaping two small round circles out of white puffed rice and eyeballs by using two mustard seeds.
  • Cut a triangular shape out of the orange candy and paste it as the nose of the spider.
  • Create a mouth by using some white puffed grains.

You Will Need:

  • A sheet of black foam
  • White marker
  • Knife or cutter
  • Scissors

How To:

  • Provide your child with a large sheet of black foam and white marker, and guide her to draw an image of a spider with eight legs, body, eyes, and a mouth as you see in the picture.
  • Use a knife or cutter and cut a spider foam image.
  • Cut two small circles out of the face of the insect to define its eyes. Cut a mouth as well.

  • Lots of blue and green colored loom bands
  • Loom board

How To:

  • Provide your preschooler a loom board and lots of blue and green loom bands.
  • Guide your kid loop green loom bands and create the head and body of the spider.
  • Loop blue band and create a tiny neck of the insect.
  • Use lots of blue bands and loom them to develop four legs on each side.
  • Define the segments of the spider’s legs by connecting green bands in between as you see in the image.

  • Two big red beads with four holes on its sides
  • Lots of small colorful beads of red, yellow, green, blue, orange, and black colors

How To:

  • Thread two red beads in a small wire and create the red body of the spider.
  • Put four wires through the four side holes of the red beads such that the wires represent eight legs of the spider.

You Will Need:

  • Elongated black balloons
  • Small round black balloons
  • Threads
  • White and black marker

How To:

  • Blow air in small round black balloons and tie them up by using a thread. Tie several small round black balloons together so that they create the body of a spider.
  • Blow air in the long black balloons and tie them up at the sides of the spider’s body forming four pairs of legs of the spider as you see in the image.
  • Make two segments of the legs by tying up the black balloons in between.
  • Use white and black markers to create two eyes of the spider.

11. Egg Spider Craft:

  • One white plastic egg
  • Hole Driller
  • Silver wires
  • Little white clay
  • Wiggle eyes

  • Blue and red sketch pens

How To:

  • Use the white plastic egg as the body of the spider.
  • Create the head of the insect by using white clay. Shape the white clay into a round ball and join it in the front of the egg.
  • Use a driller and make four holes through the artificial egg for threading in the legs.
  • Cut four silver wires of equal sizes.
  • Thread the four wires through the four holes creating eight legs, with four on each side.
  • Glue two wiggle eyes on the head of the insect.

  • A big slice of gingerbread

  • Give your preschooler a large slice of gingerbread and help her cut it out in a circular shape with the aid of a knife.

  • 8 compass dividers

How To:

  • Place the pen drive on the table and consider its operative, narrow end as the head of the spider and rest of the device as the body of the insect.
