Mom Speaks: What Post-Partum Is Really Like

During my pregnancy, I had never given much thought to what my body would be like post-partum. I always thought that once my baby was out, my body would go back to being normal. But this was not the case.

My daughter was born two weeks early. And though I was thrilled to be able to hold her finally, I was not as prepared as I would have liked to be. Our nursery wasn’t even set up properly when she arrived. My hospital bag was barely packed, so my husband threw in a few things at the last minute, before speeding to the hospital. Since I had opted for normal delivery, the pain was excruciating. But the minute I held my baby in my hands, it all seemed worth it.

What was to come next was something I was not prepared for.

It is said that women generally need about six weeks to recover post-partum. But that differs from person to person. I took about three months to recover fully from the effects of post-partum.

Post-Partum Problems I Had To Deal With

Most women experience muscle soreness after childbirth, and I was definitely one of them. My body ached, and I experienced severe cramps. The pain was quite intense on the days following my baby’s birth. My lower back hurt the most. On days when the pain was unbearable, I would ask my husband to give me a massage. I always liked using products that are natural and free of harmful chemicals, and so I chose Himalaya Toning Massage Oil. My husband would use this oil to massage my sore limbs and muscles. Within just minutes, I could feel the difference. My skin would be softer, and I would feel so much more relaxed. The pain in my limbs and joints also reduced, and this would help me fall asleep. The massages also helped me cope with the stress of being a new mother.

I was excited to be with my baby, but I was more emotional than usual. The smallest things would leave me in tears. I felt physically and emotionally drained. Apart from this, I also had my little angel to care for, who was having a hard time latching. As silly as this sounds, it used to upset me so much. I would often cry to my mother when my baby didn’t eat or sleep enough. I was sleep deprived because my baby would wake up in the middle of the night. During these times, I reached out for support. My mother moved into our house and helped me care for the baby. This really eased my mind and put an end to my worries. Under the guidance of my mother, I began learning how to care for my baby properly.

How Do I Get Rid Of Stretch Marks?

With this taken care of, I now had new worries. I noticed that during my pregnancy, I had developed stretch marks. These marks had increased since I gave birth. Before delivery, they were only on my stomach, but after childbirth, I noticed that they were on my thighs as well. That’s when I frantically began to look for a solution. I did not want these stretch marks to stay on my body for the rest of my life. I wanted a product that was natural and without harmful chemicals.

How Do I Get Rid Of Stretch Marks

In my online research, I stumbled upon Himalaya FOR MOMS Stretch Marks Cream & Oil. These two products helped ease my journey through motherhood. Infused with moisturizing oils such as sweet almond oil, olive oil, and wheat germ oil, the stretch mark cream helped to hydrate and moisturize my skin. The emollient butter of Shea, Kokum, and Mango helped relieve the itchiness and dryness on the areas with stretch marks.

I used this product alongside the Himalaya FOR MOMS Stretch Mark Oil. This oil has the ultra-moisturizing five oil complex of Virgin Coconut, Olive, Wheat Germ, Almond, and Sesame. In just a few applications, my skin was better. Apart from this, these products also helped improve my skin tone and the sagging that I was experiencing around my tummy. I would alternate between these two products, and in a few months, I noticed that my stretch marks had begun to fade. With my stretch marks taken care of, I began to feel even more confident and the worries about my appearance also began to ease. I wish I had come across this product earlier. I would recommend these products for all the mommies-to-be. It is natural and free from all harmful chemicals.
