Add A Little Spice To Your Holidays
It’s Christmas time and the festivities are in full swing. The trees are all decked up, the stars are shining bright and Santa Claus is coming to town. He’s probably here already and he’s got lots of presents lined up for you. However, the holidays can be a bit slow sometimes. They can be a bit depressing. I know it and I completely understand if you’re feeling low right now. But trust me, you won’t feel low for long. Read on to know more. Here are a few tips on how to spice things up during the holidays. Christmas or New Year’s, you can rest assured, you’re going to have a good time.
1. Mr. & Mrs. Claus
Everyone loves Santa. He’s a lot of fun but have you ever thought of Mrs. Claus? Think of what Mrs. Claus does when Santa goes out to spread joy. She dresses up and waits for him to come home so that she can be overjoyed. Getting my flow? You can do the same. When your partner goes out, pick up your Santa outfit and dress up. Wait for her to come home. And then, punish her ’cause she’s been a bad girl. Or, and this is even better. Dress up as Mrs. Claus and wait for your partner to come home. Let her dress up like Mr. Claus and punish you. It’s Christmas after all and in the spirit of Christmas, play a good game of dressing up and you’ll enjoy yourself thoroughly. The ‘Mr. and Mrs. Claus thing’ always works well.
2. Snowman
If you’re north of the equator, then it’s definitely going to be snowing. It’s going to be beautiful and of course, it’s going to be cold. Go out to the nearest park and watch everyone soaking up the snow. It’ll make you feel better immediately. And then, collect all the snow you can and make the biggest snowman possible. Don’t say that making a snowman is for kids. It can be done by anyone and it’s a lot of fun. Remember the song, Winter Wonderland by Sinatra. Sing along while making the snowman. It’ll cheer you up. You can also sing, Let It Snow! The words will make you feel better. It’s Christmas after all and the effort to feel good and happy will be worth it.
3. Catch Up With Friends
It’s time to dust off the old phone book. It’s time to call up friends whom you’ve been meaning to call for a long time. Invite them home for dinner. Play a game of charades or pictionary. Drink some classic eggnog. Have some delicious food. Catch up over the meal and exchange presents. There’s nothing better than catching up with old friends over Christmas. After all, it’s the time of the year where you want to be with the people you love.
4. Go On A Holiday
Go on a short trip. Just the two of you. Ideally, somewhere warm with a beach. But if you want to feel the Christmas spirit, then go some place where there’s a good chance of snowfall. Some place cold and some place where there’s a ski range. You’ll have the greatest time ever. And during the night, you can cuddle next to the fireplace with some warm apple cider. You’ll love it.
5. Movie Marathon
Make a list of your favourite movies. Even better, make a list of your favourite holiday movies. Pick up the DVD’s or Blue Ray discs. Make some pop corn. Get a glass of wine. Sit next to the fireplace with your loved one and start a movie marathon. Go on and on until you fall asleep. It’ll be a lot of fun. If you’re someone that’s lazy. Then, you can do it in your pyjamas too. It’ll just be great.
Wish you a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year! Happy Holidays everyone!
