For times like these, you can resort to natural ways to up your energy levels and recharge yourselves instantly. Here are 11 ways that will work in an instant:

1. Soak Up The Sun

A cold office with artificial lighting is not a reinvigorating environment per se. It’s quite the opposite! So every time you get tired of working, take a 15-minute break to go out and get some sunshine. Sunlight can improve your mood and energize you instantly (1).

Coffee is a common cure for dullness but it comes with the side effect of hampered sleep. Green tea is a better alternative as it contains a smaller amount of caffeine as compared to coffee and doesn’t disrupt our sleep cycles. Sit with a straight back. Now, close your eyes and direct all your attention to your breathing. Inhale as you count to 6 and then hold till you count to 3. As you hold your breath, your muscles should feel tense. Next, exhale as you count to 6, relaxing the muscles in your body as you do so. Hold your breath again as you count 3 and repeat the set till you feel better.

Sitting in the same posture can make muscles ache and exhaust you to no end (4). A quick-fix to this is to just shift in your seat. Sitting with a straight back every now and then can improve blood flow as well as reduce the pressure on your bones. Adopting a good posture can also help you reduce strain and fatigue in the long run.

And eat it too! While your instincts may tell you to turn to chocolate for energy, it’s better not to. The temporary energy boost that sugary items give will quickly wear off and actually increase your exhaustion levels. An apple doesn’t come with such drawbacks.
