The Basics of Raising A Baby By The Stars

The moment your doctor confirms that you have conceived your child, the first thing you want to know is what month you can expect your baby’s arrival. Even while there’s no assurance your baby will be due on that date, at least you’ll have a general idea of when they might enter the world and what star sign they fall under.

If you are a firm believer in astrology and the zodiac, we have a few things that might help you know what your child may be like. Of course, without knowing the precise time of birth, you can’t guess how extraordinary their natal chart will be. But it is possible to make guesses about your kid’s outlook, tastes, sense of humor, and ability to express themselves if you know their birthplace and zodiac sign. This means that the birth chart you select for your child might provide even more room for them to develop into their full potential. The “big three,” or moon sign, sun sign & rising sign, may be found in your child’s horoscope once you have access to their chart. Then you’ll have a better idea of how to nurture their unique talents and potential from an early age. Several ground rules are provided below. Read on to know them all!

1. Look For Their Sun Sign

Where the sun was at the time of your child’s birth might reveal a lot about your baby’s sense of who they are and how secure they feel in their own skin. If someone’s birthday is on August 3, for instance, their sun falls in the supposedly confident, ambitious, and attention-seeking fire sign, Leo. When the focus is on them, their eyes may light up, even if just subtly. If someone was born on March 1, their sun is in the sensitive and emotional water sign of Pisces, making them very observant and empathetic. However, it’s important to note that Sun sign traits don’t tell the full picture, but being aware of them may help you better understand your child’s sense of identity, which in turn shapes their interests, passions, and aspirations.

2. Look For The Moon Sign

To help them calm down and work through their feelings, think about their moon sign. The moon changes signs every thirty-five days, and this will affect your child’s emotional expression, intuition, sense of security, and — spoiler alert! — their preferred method of parental care.

A child whose moon is in the practical, level-headed Capricorn sign will show their deepest emotions in a totally distinct manner from one whose moon is in the passionate, impulsive sign of Aries. You may have noticed that the Cap lunar child is really quite stoic and tries hard to suppress emotions like sadness. (Tip: Capricorns, or those with strong astrological placements in the sign of Sea Goat, are notoriously sensitive to the perception of inadequacy.) Yet, those with the moon in Aries, such as infants and toddlers, may have a tantrum complete with shrieks, tears, and wrath, only to appear to have forgotten everything about it moments later.

Taking into account your child’s moon sign may help you empathize with them as they work through their feelings, especially the more intense ones, and provide a safe environment in which they can do so in a fashion that is positive and perhaps instructive. That will also be helpful when you’re trying to reassure them. In contrast to the child whose moon seems to be in Sagittarius, whose spacious Jupiter would like to be strolled around a museum to get to see animals in a park they’ve never been to, a child whose lunar is in Virgo, controlled by the star of knowledge Mercury, may find story time especially comfortable.

3. Look For The Rising Sign

The rising sign, also called the ascendant, describes your child’s outward persona and is responsible for the First House of Self. It’s the label given to someone based on initial impressions. It’s a window into their abilities and how they use those to go after their dreams. Knowing that your child has an inquisitive, information-seeking Gemini ascendant may help you understand why they thrive in dynamic social situations and can’t get enough of stimulating conversation, media, and play. Or maybe your toddler’s rising sign is in unconventional Aquarius, making them interested in their older sibling’s STEAM school project or causing them to insist on wearing outlandish clothing. The more you pay attention to how your child leaves their stamp on the world, the more you’ll be able to provide them with chances to do so. If you’ve heard that Virgo sun babies are timid, but you discover that yours has a theatrical Leo ascendant, you may buy them the flashiest outfit you can find, perhaps encouraging them to put on performances for their loved ones.

If you’re new to astrology, diving into your child’s full birth chart (or even just the major three) might be a bit daunting. Even if you don’t take anything else away from this, knowing that their child has a unique astrological profile is a great first step. The fact that each child has their own special blueprint speaks volumes about who they are as individuals. Simply by recognizing and appreciating it, you’re helping them down the path to greater confidence, self-awareness, and contentment.
