This kind of versatility – Alia knows how to play this game. It was color and lively in Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya, and it was mild and trendy in Dear Zindagi. Her outfits in the film were to die for, and why not? Look at all those looks she experimented with. She played with patterns, overcoats, denims, and what not! However, nothing to beat this blue maxi dress of hers. It was outright cute, and this petite doll donned the maxi style like it was just her skin. And what a lovely sling with this maxi! Just like she did, take all the inspiration from that look and pair it up with a super trendy leather bag to make it edgy and badass.
5. Anushka’s Tattered Jeans In ADHM
A moment of silence for all the lovers of stereotypes because Anushka had broken all of them in the 2016 craze Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Wondering what I am talking about? Her long slit kurti and tattered jeans! Who would have thought of wearing a kurti to a club? (…Unless it is Manish Malhotra.) Yes, that’s what Bollywood is for – where everything can happen everywhere. Those intensely done eyes, the simplistic makeup, and that little nose ring – all of them contributed to that super casual party mood. Partying this weekend? Tear some jeans now to hit the dance floor.
6. Aishwarya’s Winter Look In ADHM
Manish seems to have gotten into the habit of nailing it every time with whichever Bollywood star he is dealing with. Of course, that’s what the Manish Malhotra tag is all about. There’s the winter mood in the film, and yet this man made it look real sultry with all those long overcoats of Ash’s. Firdaus, Firdaus, Firdaus! What a killer look this woman donned all through the movie! But this particular red lacy dress and her red hair did all the magic. Firdaus was a bold, subtly cold, and subtly passionate (yes, I am consciously contradicting) girl and this chinar colored dress of hers not only went with her character but also with the mood and setting of the film. Every outfit of hers shouts out the Kashmir-English fusion look, and this lacy dress is no exception. You can’t not steal this chinar–inspired outfit fitted exceptionally well in the English frames if fusion is all you can think of.
8. Vani Kapoor’s Knotted T-Shirt In Befikre
And then, we have the cheeky Vani Kapoor. She just proved with the Befikre look that you need are a black t-shirt and a pair of denim shorts to make it look wild and gay.
