Desserts, Desserts, And More Desserts

In addition to celebrating American independence, the fourth of July is also about enjoying the outdoors, sun, pool, and all. And the best way to enjoy the outdoors? Desserts! So here you go, the best fourth of July desserts for you:

1. Fourth Of July Ice Cream Cake

We’re talking about an ice cream cake that screams “Fourth of July”! From layers of blue, white, and red to cute star-shaped sprinkles, this dessert is a definite classic.

The bottom part of this dessert is the cake, which is blue. Once the cake is baked and done, you can use vanilla ice cream for the white. The red part is a tad bit tricky; you will have to use red gel icing color, which has to be mixed with vanilla ice cream. This then has to be frozen. Once done, you can first add the white vanilla ice cream on top of the blue cake and then the red-colored layer on top of the white. Finally, add the lovely star-shaped sprinkles!

Another alternative is to use red, white, and blue buttercream frosting and colorful sprinkles on a regular sponge cake.

2. Water-Color Donuts With American Flag

What is America without its donuts? This is a fourth of July classic that is easy to make and wonderful to look at. Start with making donuts the usual way. The glaze is what makes all the difference. For the glaze, first, mix some milk and confectioner’s sugar. To this mix, add a few drops of food coloring. You can use the colors red, blue, and white.

Dip the donuts into this glaze, or brush the donuts with them. The best part is yet to come, though: tiny American flags! They’re easily available in stores, or you can make them yourself. Once the donuts are done, start hoisting them!

3. Good Old Fourth Of July Popsicle

The best and simplest way to beat the heat with a touch of patriotism: the fourth of July popsicle.

For the red, use watermelon. Add some chopped watermelon and sugar water to your blender and pour it into the popsicle mold. It has to freeze entirely before adding the other two colors, or it will all mix together. Now the white — use coconut milk or vanilla ice cream for this. Once the watermelon is frozen, gently pour a layer of coconut milk or vanilla ice cream, and wait for this layer to freeze. Next up is blue raspberry ice cream. Wait for the three to set, and your popsicle is ready. Let the popsicle party begin!

So sweet, so simple! The fourth of July is a wonderful day to bring your family and friends together. Make the day a memorable one with these amazing fourth of July desserts that never go out of style. Have you tried any of these before? Which is your favorite? Let us know in the comments below!
