We’re currently living in a world that has obsessions over quite a number of things — a fancy phone, latest fashion trends, Netflix series, etc. And whether or not these are good obsessions, there’s one good obsession and we’re glad millennials got into this — the obsession of a dream body! It’s true, isn’t it? At least for the past 4-5 years, we’ve seen a rise in the number of gyms in our cities. We’ve also seen a rise in the gym selfies too (wink wink). We have also been introduced to the world of veganism and various diets that we never thought even existed.

Who had thought that we’ll be having soy or almond milk in the name of good health? Who would have thought having that whey protein every morning will gain a higher priority than any other morning ritual in the world? Why are we all doing this? To inch closer to the idea of having a dream body of course! But have you observed that in spite of all these efforts, very few achieve a perfectly toned body? The reasons behind this could be many. But those reasons could also be some of your everyday habits, right? Here’s a list of six such habits that might be coming in the way of reaching perfect body goals. Read on.

1. Skipping Breakfast

You see there’s a reason why it’s called the first and the most important meal of the day. You might be skipping it for various reasons — you want to sleep a little extra and therefore you want to skip your breakfast. Or you might simply be in a hurry to get to work and end up missing your breakfast. You think that an early lunch or a brunch could fix up for this loss, right? But you’re missing out on a major point here — that your body needs that energy to kickstart the day and it gets it from the first meal, the breakfast! And remember that every time you’re skipping your breakfast, your body ends up burning your muscles to get energy. And your body will only become weaker with this.

2. Failure Training

People who go to the gym or know how anything about body building will be familiar with the term “training to failure” and this point is all about that. For the ones who don’t know, it means that taking a particular weight set to a point where lifting it again will be called nothing but as a failure. Well, it’s the common sense you see, you cannot build a muscle by lifting the same weight all the time. One has to up their resistance game so that the body builds.

3. Not Including Carbs

You need to understand that your body gains don’t just depend on what you’re doing at the gym. It also depends on what you’re feeding to your body. Always remember that carbs are what your body sources energy from. If you don’t eat carbs, your body will end up breaking down the proteins which are vital for muscle growth of the body. therefore, make it a point to eat carbs before the afternoon and don’t have much of it at the ends of the day. Having carbs in your last meal will convert it into fat in the body.

4. Avoiding Fats

Most of us have this on our minds — “If I eat fat, I’ll become fat!” Let us break it down to you that this is a very wrong conception. You need to acknowledge the fact that our bodies need all three things — carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. And if you completely cut off one of them which is fats, our body is bound to go nuts. There are healthy fats that are vital for the body. This can be got from all kinds of nuts, olives, and fishes. These healthy fats help you push your body to the maximum when it’s working out. Therefore, firstly, you need to understand what all is a must-have for the positive growth of your body.

5. Smoking And Drinking

If you love working on your body gains in the gym and also love drinking and smoking all week through, then understand that all that hard work in the gym gets nullified. Smoking and drinking take a toll on your body (which we all know). But it also takes a toll on all the hard work you put in your gym too. Therefore refrain from such bad habits if you want to gain a perfect body.

One needs to know to define one’s body and make a note of what the body requires the most. Then you need to write down which body goals do you want to achieve.
