How To Enhance Your Beauty While Cooking
More often than not, we women have little time to care for ourselves. We are always ready to give suggestions, even share links with friends hoping they get the required information, go all out to actually research so we can find answers for their illness. But when it comes to our own health, we have little or no time to worry. In today’s world, it is very important for us to take care of our beauty as how we present ourselves creates a lasting impression on people. For those busy souls who think they have not a moment in the world to spare, here are tips to enhance your beauty. And, the best part? You can do these while doing your household chores.
Before we begin, answer this simple question. What is it that is taking away most of your time? Most of us would say the kitchen. Cooking and household chores take longer than we can imagine. This article is about using the same time to also care for your body while you continue to focus on your household chores. Curious? Read on to know how…
If you spend a lot of time cooking or cleaning, here are ways you could include these beauty hacks in your tasks. Wondering how?
Cleansing
You begin your day by boiling milk for your regular tea or coffee. Before you boil, take a few drops of the cold milk and rub it into your skin. The best natural cleanser ever. What else do you need?
Face Steam
How many times haven’t we let the pressure cooker whistle go on hoping the chole or rajma gets properly cooked? So, the next time you are at it, bring your face close to the hot water steam coming out of the pressure cooker (make sure you don’t get too close) and let your face take the steam. If you don’t pressure cook food, you can take steam whenever you see the hot water vapor coming out of the cooking pan. Do this a couple of times, and you are done. Steam opens up the pores on your skin while cleaning the surface layer of the dead skin cells. The dirt too comes out that would have otherwise caused breakouts.
Scrub
Once you have made yourself a fruit salad, don’t throw away those banana peels. Take them and rub the insides on your face. They hydrate your skin, and prevent acne and breakouts. The same can be done with orange peels too.
Bleach
You can’t do without your honey-lemon detox drink in the mornings? Well, you could use the same for your face too. Mix a few drops of honey and lemon and apply the mixture on your face for a few minutes. This acts as a natural bleach.
Face Pack
Make a pack containing besan (gram flour), curd, and mashed tomatoes and apply it on your skin. Leave it on till it dries and wash off. You could even add turmeric if your skin is not allergic to it.
Moisturize
Once you wash off the face pack, follow it up with a moisturizer. Apply milk cream on your skin. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then wash it off. Voila! Glowing skin, all day.
Dark Circles Under Your Eyes
Lack of sleep and dehydration can darken your under eye area. It makes you look dull and ugly too. The next time you are making French fries, don’t throw away those potato peels. Rub the insides of the peel under your eyes and on the dark spots on your face. It not only lightens the skin tone but also helps fade pigmentation.
Hair Care
So, you are done with cooking? Just before you start cleaning up, give your hair an oil massage. It will take only 15 minutes for your scalp to soak up the oil — exactly the time you need to clean up. You are all set!
Wow, an entire beauty treatment that fits perfectly into your daily routine! Here are a couple of homemade face packs you can use to make your skin glow.
Honey-Milk
Cleopatra would bathe in milk to enhance her beauty. Yes, we have heard this a hundred times, yet we don’t take the hint and apply this in our lives. Milk and honey are two readily available ingredients. Why not use them to your benefit? Apply a mixture of milk and honey on your face. While honey acts as an antibacterial agent and treats pimples, milk, like I already mentioned, is a natural cleanser that helps improve your complexion.
Oats And Yogurt
If you are the health conscious types, you will surely have oats at home. Mix a teaspoon with yogurt and apply the pack on your face. This pack not only exfoliates your skin but also tackles suntan and discoloration.
Cucumber-Tomato
These two are perhaps the most easily available veggies at home. Tomato contains lycopene, an antioxidant that can shield your skin from sun damage. Its natural astringent properties can also lessen the size of your skin pores. The juice of cucumber, on the other hand, can fight dark spots. Make a paste of cucumber juice and mashed tomatoes and apply it on the face. Leave it on for 20 minutes. Wash with water.
Papaya-Honey
The enzyme papain in papaya can renew skin. A rich source of antioxidants and vitamins, A, C, and E, papaya can also shield the skin against infections and sunburn. Honey moisturizes and brightens the skin as a natural bleach. Mash papaya and add a teaspoon of honey. Keep this pack on your face for 20 minutes before washing off.
Now that we have given you ways to enhance your beauty without wasting time or money, it’s time you gave your beauty regimen a kickstart.
