Menstrual cramps, ugh! There can be nothing more irritating than going through the monthly ordeal of these cramps. We all have been through this. Though the symptoms vary from one woman to another, the pain remains the same. Some of the most common complaints during periods are excessive bleeding, bloating, cramps, and mood swings. No doubt, all these symptoms are extremely annoying, yet unavoidable.

Sometimes, the pain becomes so unbearable that we are unable to leave the bed. But, the fact is, it doesn’t have to be that way always. There are methods by which we can get rid of menstrual cramps instantly. We are not talking about temporary solutions that include popping in a painkiller. There are natural and permanent ways that can help you deal with menstrual pain.

All you need to do is put this ingredient in your navel for sometime, and the cramps will go off in a jiffy. It is a very simple procedure and does not require any special efforts or care.

This is how you can get rid of menstrual pain – take a cotton ball and soak it in 50% alcohol. Now, put it in your navel and gently press your belly button with your hands. This will relax your body and relieve the pain quickly. This can also help you get rid of cough and cold. If you have abdominal pain, add a little bit of salt to the same cotton ball and put it in your navel. Try this method, and we guarantee that you will be amazed by the results.

Ginger is considered as one of the most amazing herbs to ease menstrual cramps as it helps in lowering the levels of pain-causing prostaglandins. Apart from this, ginger also helps in fighting fatigue that is associated with PMS. It also helps in making your periods regular.

Here’s how you can use ginger to treat menstrual cramps:

Take a small piece of ginger, grate it finely, and then boil it in a cup of water for 5-10 minutes. Now, strain the water to separate the ginger pieces and add a little bit of honey and a few drops of lemon juice to it. Mix well and drink this at least thrice a day during your periods. It will give you relief to a great extent.

Including ginger in your food also helps a lot. You can also suck on some ginger candies if you want. They are yummy as well!

If you do not have a heating pad, you can use a plastic bottle with hot water in it or even soak a towel in hot water and place it on your abdomen. Repeat this every few minutes and the pain will be gone soon.

To feel more relaxed, you can even take a hot shower.
