4th Of July Drinks For Kids
It’s’ almost the Fourth of July! You know what that means – it’s party time! However, having a grand celebration during a pandemic has a set of limitations. It’s best to avoid large crowds and skip interacting with people you don’t know. Therefore, clubbing, concerts, live music shows, and other such events should be avoided. Hold up! Don’t be disheartened! You can still have loads of fun with just your close friends and family while taking the necessary precautions. Bring out the balloons, party decorations, games, and barbecue grill, and have a blast in your very own backyard! We bet that sounds fun!
The only thing missing from making it an awesome bash is the drinks! And sure, you’ve probably decided to make fancy cocktails and stock up on beers for the occasion. But how about making some sweet treats for your little ones? They deserve some yummy drinks too! No, we aren’t talking about alcohol (please don’t serve your kids alcohol unless they are of legal age). We are talking about delicious mocktails for your kids! So, here are a few Fourth of July mocktails for your little ones so they can enjoy the party too:
1. Sangria All The Way
If you’re looking to serve your kids a delicious mocktail with a mix of healthy ingredients, a BGC sangria is the way to go! Your kids will enjoy the beautiful colored drink. You’ll need beet juice, ginger beer (the non-alcoholic kind), some freshly squeezed orange juice, and a dash of lime. Mix them and pop them in the fridge. Serve when cold.
2. Ice Champagne Floats
Your kids will love this one because of how fancy it looks. The red, white, and blue ice champagne floats are just what your kid needs to make their Fourth of July memorable! They are super easy to make and tasty too. You can use cherries, strawberries, or watermelon for the red floats, lemon or litchi for white, and blueberries for the blue. Mix some crushed ice with these flavors and freeze them. Once it’s set, scoop them out like ice cream and put them in champagne glasses before topping them off with a clear carbonated sweet drink.
3. Layered Red, White, And Blue
A layered drink that your kids will really appreciate! You cannot go wrong with it. Just add some ice cubes at the bottom and fill the glass base with watermelon or cherry jelly. Then, allow it to sit for a while by popping it in the freezer. Once set, add some vanilla ice cream to create the white layer. Freeze again to solidify it. You can top it off with a blue drink of your choice to make the perfect patriotic drink.
4. Ice Ice Baby
The red and blue drink that works brilliantly for any party, the ice ice baby, like we like to call it, will be a super hit among your kids. You need some cranberry juice and some blueberries to make this sweet delight. Pour the cranberry juice into a glass filled with ice cubes. Then add a layer of crushed blueberries, and you have it – your Fourth of July mocktail!
5. The Slushy Charm
If you are not a fan of carbonated drinks and want to keep it fruit-friendly, this one’s for you! All you need are some red berries or watermelon and loads of crushed ice. Fill a glass with crushed ice and pour some red juice from your fruits into them. It’s that simple!
There you have it, folks – easy to make and equally delicious mocktails for your kids for your Fourth of July party. It’s time they enjoy a few drinks while the adults are enjoying their “legal” drinks! How many of these sweet joys are you excited to try?
