Tips For Women’s Daily Hygiene
We are so busy juggling between family and work that we hardly ever get time to take care of ourselves- right ladies? Daily hygiene is something that shouldn’t be cared less about, no matter how busy you are. Using those expensive perfumes and shimmery makeup is only going to cover up the outside- to be truly fresh and hygienic, here are some of the things you’ve got to do:
In This Article
Shower
Shower every day in case you live in a hot and humid place or if you hit the gym on a daily basis. Use a mild soap or cleanser to wash and don’t go for products with harmful dyes and chemicals in them. Try to use natural products like gram flour and besan instead of soaps, in case you take a bath more than once a day. Pat yourself completely dry before wearing clothes since trapped moisture can invite a lot of skin infections.
Clean Clothes
Wear clean clothes that are washed in warm water, and use a detergent that is free of harmful colors and fragrance. Make sure you dry them in the sun or at least in the open air- especially your undergarments. It is a great idea to use a bit of fabric conditioner and antiseptic solution while doing your laundry. Wear clean and neat clothes every day and never forget to change your undergarments on a daily basis.
Intimate Area
Do not use soap or any other harsh body washes in your intimate area. You can easily buy an over-the-counter intimate wash or you can ask your doctor to suggest one for you. Wear only clean and dry innerwear and use a panty liner whenever you have a higher flow of discharge. Always look out for infections in the area and seek medical help if you find anything unusual. A significant change in the color and odor of the discharge can indicate infections.
Do not wear tight jeans or other clothes that make you uncomfortable because they can cause rashes to your intimate area due to friction. Try to use cotton panties and bras unless it’s a special night! Cotton undergarments absorb sweat faster and allow better airflow.
Healthy Breasts
Check the health of your breasts from time to time and evaluate the presence of lumps or secretions from them. Do not wear bras that are too tight or too loose and always find the right fit. Also, wear sports bras for better support and air flow during workout sessions or running sessions.
Hygiene During Periods
Periods- one word that can bring in a lot of emotions to a woman’s mind. Maintaining hygiene during periods is of utmost importance since not doing so can lead you to infections. Change your sanitary pad frequently even if there isn’t much flow. Wash your intimate area with warm water every time you go to the washroom. Also, change your undergarment twice every day when you’re on periods- even if it is not stained.
Oral Hygiene
Your daily hygiene is incomplete without taking oral hygiene into consideration. Make sure you deal with all your bad breath and tooth decays in the right way. Always brush, floss, and use a mouth wash twice a day. Don’t forget to clean your tongue as well! Do wash your mouth whenever you have a meal or snack- you just need plain water for that. Be cautious when you have food items like garlic and onions because they can give you bad breath.
Apart from the above-explained points, try to keep a small sanitizer bottle in your bag. This will help your hands stay bacteria-free no matter where you are. Hygiene is not constant unless you put in efforts to make it a constant. Remember that your hygienic habits are going to determine your health.
