We see women flaunting their baby bump and raving about their pregnancy glow in their Instagram feed. But there’s more to pregnancy than what catches the eye. 1. You Might Get Varicose Veins

They are veins that are enlarged and can be mostly seen in the legs (1). But they can occur in the buttocks and vaginal area as well. Varicose veins are generally benign.

Nausea and vomiting are experienced by 70-80% of pregnant women (2). It is one of the most unpleasant experience for every woman who deals with it during her pregnancy.

That is definitely a good way to look at it. You might forget what you were doing in the middle of doing it. Forget why you came to the room. Freeze and stand in the middle of the living room wondering why you were there in the first place. People naturally assume that you will get the most beautiful glow to your face when you are pregnant. But that’s not always the case. On the downside, you might end up with acne.

Pregnancy can make you dread your bladder. They will be your worst enemy. Did you pee a few minutes ago? It doesn’t matter. You might have to go again. You might even pee a little every time you cough, sneeze or laugh (3).

Heartburn is common during pregnancy (7). But the good news is that you can avoid heartburn by following some simple tips like eating smaller frequent meals, avoiding greasy, spicy food, and waiting for an hour after having your food to lie down.

11. Pooping Can Be A Tedious Task

Almost half of the pregnant women feel constipated at some time or the other during their pregnancy. Sometimes even the iron supplements you take may lead to constipation. Make sure you eat fiber-rich foods and drink plenty of water during your pregnancy (8).
